This is the severed arm model that I have been working on at work with the aid of the fantastic Kirsty who put all the grass in for me! It's now almost complete- all I have to do is find some maggots from somewhere to go on the stumpy bit and all will be done. Mwhahahahahahaha. More photos once it's finished and in the display case a-comin' your way.
Am I an entomological knitter or a knitting entomologist? Who knows, but either way the two main things in my life are knitting and insects. I can throw in a husband, two cats and a bunch of other things related to crafty goodness in on top of that but you've covered the basics in two words.
If you want to get more technical then I guess I'd describe myself more as a collections manager than a taxonomist and I love all things museum/library/botanical gardens based. I'm one of lifes catagorisers- even from an early age I would arrange things in size or colour order and now I do it for a living. Just on a much larger scale.
